Nicole Pfoser
Nicole Pfoser (born November 3, 1970 in Berlin ) is a German architect , interior designer , Master of Landscape Architecture and professor at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment .
Professional background
In 1997 Nicole Pfoser completed her interior design studies at the Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences . In addition to her freelance work, she then studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt . She also completed this course in 2003 as a Dipl.-Ing. and received the Otto Bartning Prize from the Otto Bartning Foundation for Architecture and Fine Arts. After further studies (IMLA) at the Universities of Nürtingen, Weihenstephan, Rapperswil and the School of Architecture and Landscape at the University of Greenwich , she obtained a Master of Landscape Architecture in 2005 .
Pfoser then worked as a research assistant in teaching and research in the field of design and open space planning in the architecture department of the Technical University of Darmstadt. In 2016 she was there with Jörg Dettmar on the subject of facade and plant. Potential of a new facade design doctorate .
Act
Pfoser is active in the planning of architecture, landscape architecture and urban development. Her focus is on sustainable design and construction, greening of buildings with their positive effects on the city and buildings, energy consumption, climate and quality of life. As a professor in the field of object planning, she works in teaching and research at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment (HfWU), landscape architecture course.
She is the managing director of the Competence Center for Green Buildings and Urban Climate eV, Nürtingen, and an expert in the “Green Facade” regulatory committee of the Landscape Development Research Association for Landscaping (FLL). In addition, she was vice-president of the Fachvereinigung Bauwerksbegünung (FBB) (now Bundesverband GebäudeGrün BuGG). Pfoser is the editor of biotope-city.net, International Journal for City as Nature .
