After 1384 ownership changed to the von Mülsborn family and then to the von Schade and von Ense families. By marrying Ida von Ense in 1521 Dietrich von Plettenberg became the owner of the property. In the following generation, the Siegen bailiff Henrich von Holdinghausen became the owner of the property again through a marriage. In 1661, Jobst Edmund von Brabeck bought the indebted property for 20,330 thalers. Three years later he built today's manor house. The inscription "1664 IEVB" on the north wall of the building is still there today. Von Brabecke sold the property to the Archbishop of Cologne, Maximilian Heinrich, in 1670 . In 1827 the Count of Westphalia bought the estate. The district administrator Friedrich Boese received the knight's day qualification in 1841 after purchasing the house for the estate.
