Niels Peter Jensen

Niels Peter Jensen (born July 27, 1802 in Copenhagen ; † October 19, 1846 there ) was a Danish composer.

Jensen, who was blind from childhood, was an organ student of Friedrich Kuhlau . From 1828 he was organist at the Petrikirche in Copenhagen. He is also known for being a flute virtuoso and teacher. The composer JPE Hartmann was one of his students . He composed music for theater and various pieces for the flute and for the piano.
