Niemen , also Czerwony Album ("Red Album", after the color of the album cover), is a double album by Czesław Niemen , which was released in 1971. The album cover itself does not contain a direct LP title. The album is also referred to as Człowiek jam niewdzięczny , Ungrateful Man I Am , and Red Niemen .
With this double album, Niemen continued the development of his musical style in the direction of progressive rock and avant-garde that had begun on Enigmatic . Like Enigmatic , the album contains an overly long introductory piece, it covers the entire first page of LP 1. In contrast to the previous productions and most of the following productions, Niemen does not play the Hammond organ on Niemen , but flute.
