history

Nienbrügge was built around 1600 as a sub-village of Hülshagen and in 1618 is called "before the Newensbruck". When the county of Schaumburg was divided in 1648, the place became part of the Lippe part. In 1871 Nienbrügge formed a rural community with Niedernholz. Niedernholz was incorporated into the municipality of Lüdersfeld on April 1, 1956 , and Nienbrügge remained an independent municipality in the Schaumburg-Lippe district . On March 1, 1974, it was reclassified to the Schaumburg district and incorporated into the city of Sachsenhagen.
