Nijolė Steiblienė

Nijolė Narečionytė-Steiblienė (born April 4, 1954 in Panevėžys ) is a Lithuanian politician and journalist .

biography

After graduating from secondary school in 1972, she graduated in 1978 with a diploma in journalism from the Faculty of History of the Vilniaus valstybinis universitetas . From 1977 to 1998 she was employed as an editor at Valstybinio Lietuvos radijo ir televizijos komitetas (since 1990 Lietuvos radijas ir televizija ). From 1983 she worked at Lietuvos televizija as an editor and from 1989 as chief editor. She was the presenter of the programs “Panorama”, “Vakaro žinios”, “Labas rytas” and “Politikų klubas”. From 1998 to 2000 she was an editor at UAB “Lietuvos žinių studija” of the TV programs “N-14”, “Ką žmonės pasakys!” By Laisvas ir nepriklausomas kanalas . From 2000 to 2008 she was a member of the Seimas . Since 2009 she has been the deputy head of the news department at Lietuvos ryto televizija .

She was a member of the Naujoji sąjunga .
