Nikša Eterović

Nikša Eterović (* 1955 in Split ) is a theater director , theater pedagogue and author.

Eterović studied directing, theater and radio at the Academy for Theater, Film and Television in Zagreb . At the same time he studied philosophy and comparative literature in Zadar . Since 1972, Eterović has directed more than 100 theater plays internationally.

In 1989 Eterović went to Berlin . Eterović realized the cycle Café der Intuition with a multilingual, international ensemble for over seven years .

Eterović directed, conception, dramaturgy and text montage for the play series don quijotes doppelganger , consisting of the individual pieces flee mit don quijote , mythos der Erinnerung and don quijote's last journey , which were each performed in different locations. Part 1 was performed in the Deli on the Schillingbrücke , Part 2 in the cinema of the former State Council building in Berlin-Mitte and Part 3 in the Gasometer Schöneberg .

He also directed the play Ulysses or the Cyclops and his rhinos . In 2012, Eterović directed the plays Zoostory and Public Local and Long-Distance Transport .

In 1995 he founded the international training institute theakademie in Berlin. In 1996 Eterović was involved in Tin - in the paradise of his hell together with the Yugoslav poet Tin Ujević and Davor Korić. In 2002 the teNTheater Berlin was founded.
