Niki & the Dove is a Swedish electro-pop duo from Stockholm .

Band history

The musician Malin Dahlström was in a dance band and had a solo project called Disdishdance before she met Gustaf Karlöf in February 2010 and formed Niki and the Dove with him . Just a few months later they released their DJ debut single , Ease My Mind, on the British label Moshi Moshi , which was well received by critics. This was followed by a label change to Sub Pop Records and a first EP release ( The Fox ), which further increased their popularity. In the newcomer forecast Sound of… the BBC for 2012 they reached number five.

In spring 2012 Niki and the Dove released their debut album Instinct in Europe and the USA. In Great Britain and her home country Sweden it was placed in the official charts, in the USA it was listed in the Heatseeker charts. In 2013 they were awarded the European Border Breakers Award (EBBA).
