Nicole Leslie Stanton (born October 26, 1990 ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the Chicago Red Stars in the National Women's Soccer League since the 2018 season .
Career
During her studies at Fairfield University , Stanton played for the local university team of the Fairfield Stags and in 2012 played for the W-League participant Seattle Sounders Women . With the Sounders she reached the championship play-offs as runner-up in the Western Division , but lost 1-0 in the first knockout game of the Pali Blues franchise . In June 2014, Stanton was initially accepted as an amateur player in the extended squad of Sky Blue FC and made her debut there on June 15 in a game for the Chicago Red Stars as a substitute. A few days later, she was firmly signed by Sky Blue. For the 2018 season, Stanton joined the Chicago Red Stars together with her partner and teammate Samantha Kerr .
