Niklas Askmyr (born October 19, 1990 in Gällivare ) is a Swedish snowboarder . His specialty is Big Air , but in combination competitions he also starts in Slopestyle .

Niklas Askmyr began at the age of eleven with the sport of snowboarding and went for the first time in March 2008 in international appearance when he at the Junior World Championships in Valmalenco came eleventh in the Big Air. At the beginning of the 2008 season he started at the open British championships in London and placed twelfth in a world class field. Shortly afterwards, on his debut in the World Cup , Askmyr made it into the top ten when he finished in the Big Air in Stockholm on November 22nd, 2008.

Askmyr lives in Malung near the Swedish ski area Kläppen.
