Niklas Mahrdt

Niklas Mahrdt (born December 2, 1967 ) is Professor of Marketing & Digital Transformation at the Rheinische Fachhochschule Cologne .

Life

After studying business and economics in Heidelberg , Paris and Berlin , he received his doctorate from Deutsche Telekom AG on strategic alliances in times of media convergence .

Act

Niklas Mahrdt is the author and editor of specialist books, infographics and studies. Since 2014 he has been blogging regularly as part of his science blog for digital & marketing at www.cross-science.de.

In 2008 he was chosen as “Professor of the Year” in the final selection among the ten best professors in Germany in the field of economics and law. The ranking list is carried out by UNICUM-Verlag as part of an annual student survey.

Niklas Mahrdt is a speaker for all topics related to digitization and digital transformation and has inspired a large number of companies from different industries with lectures and key notes.

Mahrdt supports innovative start-ups from within the university. Furthermore, as part of the multimedia start-up competition, he is a member of the coaching network of the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology (BMWI) for business start-ups in the media and IT sector.

In parallel to his professorship, as the founder and director of the Media Economics Institute, he advises companies across all industries on all issues relating to digitization, digital marketing and transformation.
