Niklaus Oberholzer (art historian)

Niklaus Oberholzer (* 1940 in Uznach ) is a Swiss art historian .

Oberholzer studied art and German literary history and received his doctorate in 1969 on the Michelangelo image in German literature. In 1974 he became head of the culture department of the Vaterland , the Luzerner Zeitung and the Neue Luzerner Zeitung . He was a member of the Pro Helvetia Board of Trustees . For his work as an art mediator , Oberholzer was awarded the recognition award of the Federal Department of the Interior in 1996. As a freelance publicist, he writes for media and publishers.
