Niko Opper (born February 4, 1992 ) is a German soccer player .

Career

In the club

In his youth, Opper played for SV Darmstadt 98 and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, among others . In 2010 he was A youth runner-up with Bayer Leverkusen, and in 2012 he moved to SV Babelsberg 03 . In this, however, it was rarely used. His contract, which expired in 2013, was not extended. Opper then moved to Alemannia Aachen for the 2013/14 season . In the game against Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on matchday 34, Opper tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and was out of action for over half a year. In the summer of 2015, the Hessen league club SC Hessen Dreieich signed him . With the Hessians, he became league champions in 2017 and 2018 . After winning the second title, he rose with them to the Regionalliga Südwest.

National team

Opper played eight games for German junior national teams in 2008 and 2009. In 2009 he became European champion with the U-17 national team.
