Nikola Dimitrov (* 1961 in Mettlach ) is a German painter and musician .
Life
Nikola Dimitrov studied from 1979 to 1988 at the Hochschule für Musik Saar with the completion of the concert qualification as a pianist, at the same time he occupied himself with various forms of painterly expression. From the approach of music as an inspiring source, he has been developing his pictures since 1993, which are shown in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Nikola Dimitrov lives and works in Heusweiler near Saarbrücken and in Cologne.

The artistic development in the area of tension between music and painting was first expressed in the paintings by Nikola Dimitrov in 1993. These early works were initially informal. In 2005/06 the first approaches to concrete painting can be found , which in the following years developed into rhythmic lines of lines. Since then he has been working with various reduced line elements that are based in their own formal language on beat, rhythm, modulation and variation.
