Nikolai Fjodorowitsch Kisseljow ( Russian: Николай Фёдорович Киселёв ; born October 25, 1939 in Leningrad , † 2005 ) was a Soviet Nordic combined .

Career

Kisseljow, who started for CSKA Leningrad, celebrated his greatest sporting successes in 1964. After he won the Soviet championship, he qualified for the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck . There he surprised the competition with the third best jumping performance behind Georg Thoma and Tormod Knutsen . Known as a poor runner, Kisseljow also showed a strong performance on the trail , benefited from a fall Thomas and finally became Olympic silver medalist behind Knutsen.

Because of these achievements, he was awarded the "Honored Master of Sports of the USSR" award.
