Nikolai Ivanovich Bogolyubov
Nikolai Ivanovich Bogolyubov ( Russian Николай Иванович Боголюбов ; born October 10 . Jul / 22. October 1899 greg. In Ivanovskoe , Ryazan Governorate ; † 9. March 1980 in Moscow ) was a Soviet actor .
Life
Bogolyubov trained as an actor at the Ryazan Dramatic Theater , began his military service in the Red Army in 1920 and returned to Ryazan after completing his military service, where he worked as a stage actor at the local theater. In 1922 he went to Moscow , where a year later he became a member of an experimental theater group led by Vsevolod Meyerhold . He celebrated great stage successes at the Wsewolod-Meyerhold-Theater and made his film debut in 1931, where he primarily embodied proletarian figures and historical personalities.
In 1938 he came to the Moscow Art Theater, where he was a member for over 20 years. Bogolyubov has been honored several times with the state prize for his theater and film work.
