Nikolai Ognev

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nikolai Ognew (also Ognjew written; Russian Николай Огнев * June 14 . Jul / 26. June  1888 greg. In Moscow as Mikhail Grigorievich Rozanov ; † 22. June 1938 ) was a Soviet writer .

Life

Ognew was born as Mikhail Grigoryevich Rosanov, the son of a tsarist lawyer. He was “already before the October Revolution ”, which he enthusiastically joined, “as a writer without appearing in particular.” His brother Sergei Grigoryevich Rosanov (1894–1957) was an author of children's books.

"Kostja Ryabzew"

Ognew wrote the two-volume series "Kostja Ryabzew" under this pseudonym. In 1927 the first part was published, The Diary of the Student Kostja Ryabzew , later the second part, Kostja Ryabzew at the University (Russian Iskhod Nikpetoscha ). "'The diary of the pupil Kostja Ryabzew' and 'Kostja Ryabzew at the university' troubled not only the Soviet, but also the Western youth in their time ..."

"Both parts are ... completely complete in terms of content."

From the point of view of the fifteen-year-old Kostja Ryabzew, an independent and critical character, he writes in the first volume about the upheavals in the school system in the Soviet Union of the 1920s, above all the introduction and implementation of the reform pedagogical Dalton plan as well as other topics (e.g. about the revolutionary changes in the whole Soviet society).

The "Kostja Ryabzew" also fell victim to the book burnings of the Nazis .

Reviews

Kostja Ryabzev's notes make "on the one hand his character maturation process transparent and on the other hand expand into a lively artistic chronicle about the difficult struggle of the young Soviet state to educate the new man."

Quote

" October 27th. We have set up a 'Young Pioneers' department. They have to make a solemn promise, march around the hall, not smoke and such. Everyone who likes to show off is there. I think that this is what little children should do: wear red scarves! I'd rather wait until I can enter the Komsomol . I am convinced that I am a communist.

Soja and Lina did not join the pioneers because they 'are against God'. In the tone they speak to each other and to the other girls. They are two unenlightened, stupid geese, because the world arose out of the cell, that can be proven. God has nothing to do with it. When Jelnikitka discusses our workload for November, I definitely ask her about God. As a science teacher, she must be able to explain all the details to us. "
