Nikolaos Skribas

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nikolaos Skribas was a Byzantine lawyer and author in the first half of the 11th century.

He wrote a counter-writ (Λόγος ἀντιρρητικὸς) against the Tomos of the Patriarch Sisinnios II on marital obstacles from 997. The otherwise unknown author, who was probably a judge in the circle of Eustathios Rhomaios , polemicized with nowhere else to be found sharpness against the authority of the generally highly revered deceased) patriarchs.
