Nikolaus Frankopan
Nikolaus Frankopan von Tržac (Tersacz) (also Croatian: Nikola IX. Frankopan Tržački , Frankapan , Frangipani ) (* 1586; † 1647 in Vienna ) was a Croatian count from the Frankopan and Ban family of Croatia .
Life
He distinguished himself in the wars between Emperor Rudolf II and the Turks . He was appointed Ban of Dalmatia , Croatia and Slavonia by Emperor Matthias in 1617 and remained so until 1622.
