Nikolaus Glasberger
Nikolaus Glasberger - also Nicolaus Glas (s) berg (er) (de Moravia) - (* in the 15th century in Moravia / Bohemia ; † 1508 in Nuremberg ) was a German Franciscan and historian.
Life
He joined the Franciscan observers in Amberg in 1472 , studied in Basel in 1475/76 and, after traveling in Bohemia and Moravia, has been recorded in the Franciscan monastery in Nuremberg since 1483 . He looked after the Nuremberg Poor Clares as confessor .
Glasberger had good contacts with Nuremberg humanists such as Hartmann Schedel or Konrad Celtis .
His main work is the large Latin chronicle of the order Chronica Ordinis Minorum Observantium , written in 1506/08
