from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Nikolaus IV., Lord of Werle [-Goldberg], called Poogenoge (* before 1331; † between March 14 and November 13, 1354 ) was from 1350 to 1354 Lord of Werle-Goldberg.

He was the son of Johann III. and Mechthild of Pomerania (* before 1319; † 1331). He is said to have got his nickname from the shape and expression of his eyes.

At the beginning he ruled together with his father Johann and from 1350 alone the rule of Werle-Goldberg . He concluded a country peace on March 14, 1354 , but is no longer mentioned on November 13 of the same year.

He was married to Agnes († after 1361). Presumably she was the daughter of Ulrich II von Lindow-Ruppin's daughter . After Nikolaus' death she married Johann I von Mecklenburg-Stargard .

children

Nikolaus had three verifiable children. His son Johann IV became master of Werle-Goldberg after him. His daughter Mechthild († before December 17, 1402) married Lorenz von Werle-Güstrow and his daughter Agnes married Johann VI. from Werle goods .
