The list of sacred buildings in the Ennepe-Ruhr district includes places of worship sponsored by the Christian denominations and other religious communities in the Ennepe-Ruhr district . The district consists of the nine towns of Breckerfeld , Ennepetal , Gevelsberg , Hattingen , Herdecke , Schwelm , Sprockhövel , Wetter (Ruhr) and Witten .

The Evangelical Church of Westphalia is represented here with the church districts of Hagen , Hattingen-Witten and Schwelm . The Roman Catholic Church is represented by the Archdiocese of Paderborn and the Diocese of Essen .
