List of sacred buildings in Duisburg
The list of sacred buildings in Duisburg includes places of worship sponsored by Christian denominations and other religious communities.
Roman Catholic sacred buildings
The parishes and parishes that already belonged to the city of Duisburg in 1958 have been added to the diocese of Essen . The parishes, the area of which was incorporated later, still belong to the diocese of Münster .
Financial problems force the sponsors to close the church, especially in the Ruhr diocese . Some of the Catholic churches have already been de-dedicated and then even demolished. The Diocese of Essen has listed such buildings as "other churches" since 2005. 15 churches are affected.
