Nikolaus Joseph Hompesch

Nikolaus Joseph Hompesch (born March 14, 1830 in Cologne ; † November 30, 1902 there ) was a German piano teacher.

Life

Hompesch was a student of Ferdinand Hiller at the Cologne Conservatory and has been a teacher there since 1854, and later also a librarian. He collected piano works from the 18th century for educational use and published some of them in new editions.
