Lavelanet-de-Comminges is a French commune with 625 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Lavelanet-de-Comminges belongs to the Arrondissement Muret and the Canton of Auterive (until 2015 Rieux-Volvestre ). The inhabitants are called Lavelanéciens .

Lavelanet-de-Comminges is located about 25 kilometers south-southwest of Muret . Lavelanet-de-Comminges is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Fousseret in the north and west, Saint-Élix-le-Château in the north and north-east, Saint-Julien-sur-Garonne in the east and south-east and Cazères in the south and south-west.
The A64 autoroute runs through the municipality .
