Mauzac is a French commune with 1,281 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Mauzac belongs to the arrondissement of Muret and the canton of Auterive ( canton of Carbonne until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Mauzacais .

geography

Mauzac is located about ten kilometers south-southwest of Muret on the Garonne . Mauzac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Le Fauga in the north, Beaumont-sur-Lèze in the east and northeast, Montaut and Noé in the south and Lavernose-Lacasse in the west.

The A64 autoroute runs through the municipality .
