Caujac ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 837 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Esperce belongs to the arrondissement of Muret and the canton of Auterive ( canton of Cintegabelle until 2015 ). The inhabitants are called Caujacois (es) .

geography

Caujac is located about 37 kilometers south-southeast of Toulouse on the edge of the Lauragais . Caujac is surrounded by the neighboring communities Grazac in the north, Auterive in the north and northeast, Cintegabelle in the east and northeast, Gaillac-Toulza in the south and east and Esperce in the west. The municipality is crossed by the Mouillonne river.
