Le Fauga ( Occitan : Le Haugar ) is a French commune with 2,048 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). Lamasquère belongs to the Arrondissement of Muret and the Canton of Muret . The inhabitants are called Faugatiens .
geography
Le Fauga is located in the historic province of Savès , about seven kilometers south-southwest of Muret on the Garonne . Le Fauga is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Muret in the north and east, Beaumont-sur-Lèze in the east and south-east, Mauzac and Noé in the south, Lavernose-Lacasse in the west and south-west and Saint-Hilaire in the north-west.
The A64 autoroute runs through the municipality .
