Bax ( Occitan : Vaths ) is a French commune with 89 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Bax belongs to the arrondissement of Muret and the canton of Auterive (until 2015 Rieux-Volvestre ). The inhabitants are called Baxéens .
geography
Bax is about 29 kilometers south-southwest of Muret . Bax is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Latrape in the north, Canens in the east, Lapeyrère in the south-east, Latour in the south, Montesquieu-Volvestre in the west and south-west and Mailholas in the north-west.
