Mauran ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 233 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). Mauran belongs to the Arrondissement of Muret and the Canton of Cazères . The inhabitants are called Mauranais .
geography
Mauran is about 59 kilometers southwest of Toulouse . The Garonne limits the municipality to the north. Mauran is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Martres-Tolosane in the north and north-west, Palaminy in the east and north-east, Montclar-de-Comminges in the south and Roquefort-sur-Garonne in the west and south-west.
