Lacaugne is a French commune with 218 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Lacaugne belongs to the Arrondissement Muret and the canton Auterive (until 2015 Rieux-Volvestre ). The inhabitants are called Lacaugnais .

Lacaugne is located about 17 kilometers south-southwest of Muret . Lacaugne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Marquefave in the north, Montgazin in the northeast, Lézat-sur-Lèze in the east, Latrape in the south and Carbonne in the west and southwest.
