Empeaux ( Occitan Empèuts ) is a French commune with 256 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). Empeaux belongs to the arrondissement of Muret and the canton of Plaisance-du-Touch (until 2015 Saint-Lys ). The inhabitants are called Empeusiens .
geography
Empeaux is located in the historic province of Savès , about 36 kilometers west-southwest of Toulouse and about 30 kilometers west-northwest of Muret . Empeaux is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Auradé in the north and east, Saint-Thomas in the south and Seysses-Savès in the west and southwest.
