Pinsaguel ( Occitan : Pinçaguèl ) is a French commune with 2,771 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Muret and the canton of Portet-sur-Garonne . The inhabitants are called Pinsaguelois (es) .
geography
Pinsaguel is located about eleven kilometers south-southwest of Toulouse at the confluence of the Ariège and Garonne rivers . Pinsaguel is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Portet-sur-Garonne in the north and northeast, Lacroix-Falgarde in the east, Goyrans in the southeast, Pins-Justaret in the south, Roquettes in the southwest and Roques in the northwest.
The former route nationale 20 (today's D820) runs through the municipality .
