The canton of Portet-sur-Garonne is a French canton in the Arrondissement Muret in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region ; its main town is Portet-sur-Garonne . From 1998 to 2015, François Péraldi ( PS ) was the representative in the General Council of the Département . He was followed by Sébastien Léry and Anne Vieu (both also PS).

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Portet-sur-Garonne included the ten municipalities of Eaunes , Labarthe-sur-Lèze , Lagardelle-sur-Lèze , Pinsaguel , Pins-Justaret , Portet-sur-Garonne , Roques and Roquettes , Saubens and Villate . Its layout corresponded to an area of 85.50 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 3152.
