The Canton Caraman was 2015 a French canton in the Arrondissement Toulouse , in the Haute-Garonne and the region Midi-Pyrenees with 55,491 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017). Its main town was Caraman . Gilbert Hébrard was the representative in the General Council of the Department for the years 2008 to 2015.
geography
The canton was in the east of the Haute-Garonne department. In the west and northwest it bordered the canton of Lanta , in the northeast on the Tarn department , in the southeast and south on the canton Revel and in the southwest on the cantons of Villefranche-de-Lauragais and Montgiscard . Its area was between 160 m in Saussens and 294 m in Caraman above sea level .
