The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Toulouse and is part of the canton of Revel (until 2015: canton of Caraman ). The inhabitants are called Maurevillois (es) .

Maureville is located around 19 kilometers east-southeast of Toulouse in the Lauragais . The Saune River limits the community to the south and south-west. Maureville is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Caraman in the north and east, Caragoudes in the south, Tarabel in the west and south-west and Aurin in the west and north-west.
