Gagnac-sur-Garonne ( Occitan Ganhac de Garona ) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region of France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Toulouse and the Canton of Castelginest . The 3,110 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) are called Gagnacais (es) .
geography
Gagnac-sur-Garonne is a banlieue a few kilometers north of Toulouse on the Garonne . The Aussonnelle tributary flows into the western border of the municipality . Gagnac-sur-Garonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Jory in the north, Lespinasse in the east and north-east, Fenouillet in the south and south-east, Seilh in the west and south-west and Merville in the north-west.
