Montpitol ( Occitan Montpitòl ) is a French commune with 387 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Paulhac belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and until 2015 to the canton of Montastruc-la-Conseillère , since then to the canton of Pechbonnieu . The inhabitants are called Montpitolois .

Montpitol is about 19 kilometers east-northeast of Toulouse . In the southeast of the municipality is the Lac du Laragou . Montpitol is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roquesérière in the north, Azas in the northeast, Garrigues in the east, Verfeil in the south and southeast, Saint-Jean-Lherm in the west and southwest and Montastruc-la-Conseillère in the northwest.
