Aussonne ( Occitan : Aussona ) is a French commune with 6984 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). Aussonne is part of the arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Blagnac (previously Grenade ). The inhabitants are called Aussonnais .

location

Aussonne is located on the Aussonnelle river just before it flows into the Garonne , about 15 kilometers northwest of Toulouse . Aussonne is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Merville in the north, Seilh in the east, Beauzelle and Blagnac in the southeast, Cornebarrieu in the south, Mondonville in the southwest and Daux in the west.
