Buzet-sur-Tarn ( Occitan : Buset de Tarn ) is a French commune with 2,767 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Buzet-sur-Tarn belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and until 2015 to the canton of Montastruc-la-Conseillère , since then to the canton of Villemur-sur-Tarn . The inhabitants are called Buzétois (es) .

geography

Buzet-sur-Tarn is located about 25 kilometers northeast of Toulouse on the Tarn . Buzet-sur-Tarn is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Roquemaure in the north, Mézens in the east and north-east, Saint-Sulpice-la-Pointe in the east, Roquesérière and Gémil in the south, Paulhac in the west and Bessières in the north-west.

The A68 autoroute runs along the southern edge of the municipality .

As a bastide , the place was created in 1242 by Count Raimund VII .
