Saint-Sauveur ( Occitan Sent Salvador ) is a commune in the department of Haute-Garonne in the region Occitania (before 2016 Midi-Pyrenees ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Villemur-sur-Tarn ( Fronton until 2015 ). The 1,766 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) are called Saint-Salvadoriens .

geography

Saint-Sauveur is located about 15 kilometers north of Toulouse between Hers , which forms the western boundary , and the Girou , which forms the northern municipal boundary. Saint-Sauveur is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villeneuve-lès-Bouloc in the north and northeast, Cépet in the east, Bruguières in the south, Saint-Jory in the west and Castelnau-d'Estrétefonds in the north-west. The A62 autoroute runs through the municipality .
