Colomiers ( Occitan : Colomèrs ) is a French commune with 38,951 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement of Toulouse and the Canton of Toulouse-7 . Colomiers is the second largest city in the department (after Toulouse). The municipality is crossed by the Aussonnelle river.
