Vacquiers ( Occitan Vaquièrs ) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region of France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Toulouse and the Canton of Villemur-sur-Tarn (until 2015: Canton Fronton ). The 1,307 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) are called Vacquiérois .
geography
Vacquiers is about 20 kilometers north of Toulouse . Vacquiers is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Villematier in the north, La Magdeleine-sur-Tarn in the north-east, Montjoire in the east, Villariès in the south, Gargas in the south and south-west and Villeneuve-lès-Bouloc in the west and south-west.
