Labastide-Saint-Sernin ( La Bastida de Sant Sarnin in Occitan ) is a commune in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region of France . It belongs to the Arrondissement of Toulouse and the Canton of Pechbonnieu (until 2015: Canton Fronton ). The 1,909 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) are called Labastidiens .
geography
Labastide-Saint-Sernin is a former bastide about 14 kilometers north of Toulouse on the Girou . Labastide-Saint-Sernin is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Gargas in the north, Villariès in the east and northeast, Montberon in the south and southeast, Pechbonnieu in the south, Ridge Tour in the southwest and Cépet in the west.
The community is drained by several small watercourses that flow north and flow into the Girou, which runs from east-southeast to west-northwest.
