Ayguesvives Town Hall (former Ayguesvives Castle)

Ayguesvives ( Occitan : Aigas Vivas ) is a French commune with 2,655 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (previously Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Escalquens (until 2015: canton of Montgiscard ). The inhabitants are called Ayguesvivois (es) .

geography

Ayguesvives is located about 22 kilometers southeast of Toulouse in the Lauragais countryside . The Canal du Midi runs through the northeastern part of the municipality. Ayguesvives is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Baziège in the north and northeast, Montesquieu-Lauragais in the east, Nailloux in the south, Saint-Léon in the south and Montgiscard in the west and northwest.

The A61 autoroute and the former route nationale 113 (today's D813) run through the municipality .
