Paulhac ([ po.jak ], Occitan Paulhac ) is a French commune with 1,236 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Paulhac belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and until 2015 to the canton of Montastruc-la-Conseillère , since then to the canton of Pechbonnieu . The inhabitants are called Paulhacois .

Paulhac is located about 18 kilometers north-northeast of Toulouse . Paulhac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Bessières in the north, Buzet-sur-Tarn in the east and north-east, Gémil in the east, Montastruc-la-Conseillère in the south and south-east, Garidech in the south, Bazus in the south-west and Montjoire in the west and north-west.

history

The place is first mentioned in the 10th century as "Pauliens". Various landlords ruled the town until the revolution .
