Brax ( LID .: Brats ) is a municipality with 2811 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the south of France , in the Région Occitan (previously Midi-Pyrénées ) and in the department of Haute-Garonne . The municipality is located in the arrondissement of Toulouse and in the canton of Toulouse-7 (previously Léguevin ). The inhabitants are called Braxéens .

The municipality is located 17 kilometers southwest of Toulouse between the Courbet brooks and its tributary Chauge , which drain in an easterly direction to the Aussonnelle . The place belongs to the greater Toulouse area.
