Flourens Town Hall

Flourens ( Occitan : Florenç ) is a French commune with 1,963 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitanie region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Toulouse-10 (until 2015: canton of Toulouse-8 ). The inhabitants are called Flourensois .

geography

Flourens is about nine kilometers east of Toulouse . The Seillonne river limits the municipality to the northeast. Flourens is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pin-Balma in the north and north-west, Mons in the north and north-east, Drémil-Lafage in the south and east, Quint-Fonsegrives in the south and south-west and Balma in the west.

The former Route nationale 126 (today's D826) leads through the south and on the southeastern edge of the municipality .
