Pompertuzat is a French commune with 2312 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region . It belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and the canton of Escalquens (until 2015: canton of Montgiscard ). The inhabitants are called Pompertuzien (ne) s .
geography
Pompertuzat is located about thirteen kilometers southeast of Toulouse in the Lauragais countryside on the Canal du Midi . Pompertuzat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Péchabou in the north and north-west, Escalquens in the north, Belberaud in the east and north-east, Deyme in the east and south-east, Coronsac in the south and south-west, Rebigue in the west and Castelnet-Tolosan in the west and north-west.
The A61 autoroute and the former route nationale 113 (today's D813) run through the municipality .
