Montjoire

Montjoire ( Occitan Montjòire ) is a French commune with 1,274 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Haute-Garonne department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). Montjoire belongs to the arrondissement of Toulouse and until 2015 to the canton of Montastruc-la-Conseillère , since then to the canton of Pechbonnieu . The inhabitants are called Montjoviens .

geography

Montjoire is located about 18 kilometers north-northeast of Toulouse . Montjoire is surrounded by the neighboring communities of La Magdelaine-sur-Tarn in the north, Bessières in the east and northeast, Paulhac in the east, Bazus in the south, Villariès in the southwest and Vacquiers in the west.
